Born in East Los Angeles. Forged in thirty years of professional martial arts. Founded in Butte, Montana in 2023 by Steve Jimenez — a fighter who knew exactly what the combat sports world was missing.
Steve Jimenez was forged in the streets of East Los Angeles — the son of a United States Marine Corps Sergeant who instilled discipline, toughness, and an unrelenting standard of excellence from day one. Growing up, Steve trained in Judo alongside boxing, building the technical foundation and warrior's mindset that would define his life.
In 1993, Steve launched his professional Martial Arts career — and never looked back. Over the next two decades he competed, trained, and lived the combat sports life from the inside out, accumulating the kind of hard-won knowledge that can't be taught in a classroom.
In 2011, Steve made the move to Montana — trading the concrete of East LA for the wide-open grit of the American West. He brought his East LA edge with him, and Montana gave him the space to build something lasting.
In 2023, drawing on thirty years of martial arts experience and a lifetime of knowing what fighters truly deserve, Steve founded New Level Boxing Gear & Apparel LLC in Butte, Montana. His mission was singular: fill the gap that had always existed in combat sports — a true luxury brand built by a fighter, for fighters. Not mass-produced. Not compromised. Handcrafted Buffalo leather, aerospace-engineered foam, and designer-level aesthetics worthy of champions.
Three years in, NLB gear is worn by BKFC champions, trained in at the Mayweather Boxing Gym, and recognized by fighters who know the difference between good and exceptional.
This is just the beginning.
"We didn't come to compete. We came to set a new standard."
Every piece is handcrafted with full-grain Buffalo leather, aerospace-engineered foam, and military-grade hardware. We don't cut corners. Champions don't either.
We are the Louis Vuitton of boxing gear. That's not a metaphor — it's a standard. Every stitch, every colorway, every detail is designed to signal excellence.
Luxury means nothing if it doesn't perform. NLB gear is tested in real gyms, by real champions, under real pressure. Beautiful and battle-ready.
Steve Jimenez was raised in East Los Angeles — where toughness is a birthright. He brought that edge to Butte, Montana, a city that built America with hard work and no excuses. That spirit lives in every NLB product.
New Level Boxing is the official merchandise manufacturer for some of the most exciting combat sports organizations in the world.
